Meet Our Team

Claire is the Practice Manager and has been working in management for 13 years, she has been with Aurora since 2023. She loves the variety that comes with her role and enjoys keeping the practice running smoothly. Outside of work, Claire enjoys spending time with her dog, Waffle, working on her allotment and cooking up something delicious in the kitchen. She loves growing her own produce and trying out new recipes – preferably with a little help from Waffle.

Kevin graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2007 and has worked at Aurora Vet Clinic as a veterinary surgeon since 2009. He has always had an interest in surgery, completing a post graduate certificate in surgery in 2016, but in recent years has enjoyed spending more of his time in a consulting room, dealing with all the patients that he has got to know over the years. When not at work Kevin is usually spending time with his young family and his Border Terrier Lucy.

Sarah: Sarah qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2011 from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh. She always wanted to work in mixed practice, but after a year realised that cats and dogs were her favourite patients to work with. Sarah loves general practice and enjoys all aspects of medicine and surgery. She has been part of the Aurora team since 2017 and particularly enjoys the relationships she can build with clients when they stay with the same practice for many years. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her own pets and family. She loves getting outdoors whenever she can and feels very lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the country — Aberdeenshire is somewhere she’ll never tire of!

Nicola qualified from Edinburgh vet school in 2015. She is particularly interested in chronic pain management and she also practices acupuncture, which can be used for pain management and to aid the treatment of many other conditions. Nicola has a lovely black and white moggy called Izzy. When not working, Nicola can usually be found running around after her toddler! She also enjoys yoga and spending time outside.

Sinead completed her training placement with us in 2015 and then returned in 2017 as a fully qualified RVN. Her favourite thing about her job as a nurse is how rewarding it is to look after our poorly patients and see them fully recover and go home wagging their tails & whiskers! When she’s not at work she is kept very busy at home with her three little girls, three crazy cocker spaniels, Luna, Plum & Fig and her outnumbered cat, Boris. In her (not so often) spare time Sinead enjoys road trips with her family, a yummy coffee & cake, a good mooch around a shop for things she definitely doesn’t need and she is also poorly attempting a running career whenever she gets a spare 5 minutes!

Jasmine is a registered veterinary nurse who qualified from SRUC in 2020 and joined Aurora in 2021. She enjoys laboratory work such as running samples and microscopy. At home she has a cat called Winnie and a very cheeky Toller called Roo! Outside of work if she isn’t running around after her daughter or pets then she usually has her nose in a book or out to the cinema/theatre, usually with Rona!

Adele is a Registered veterinary nurse who qualified in 2018 and joined Aurora in September 2025, she enjoys all aspects of nursing but especially anaesthetics and consulting. Outside of work, Adele loves spending time outdoors enjoying hiking, camping, exploring new places and taking on new adventures.

Emma is a vet nurse who qualified in 2022. Emma enjoys all aspects of nursing but has a particular interest in inpatient care. Outside of work, Emma enjoys distance running and spending her time with her family and friends.

Karen qualified as a Registered veterinary Nurse in 2009 from North Highland College and joined the Aurora team in October that year. Karen loves all aspects of nursing and has a keen interested in anaesthesia. She also enjoys supporting clients with advice and reassurance when they need it. She also spends her Sundays working at a busy emergency clinic, keeping nursing skills fresh. Outside of work, she’s kept busy with her three boys, her partner and their crazy cocker spaniel, Benny! She loves nothing more than family time, trips to the theatre and catching up with friends.

Amy is a Veterinary Care Assistant who qualified in 2019 and joined the Aurora team in 2022. She enjoy all aspects of her job and particularly likes just being able to help wherever she is needed as there is always plenty to keep her busy. Outside of work Amy enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing at home with her much loved pets. She has an old cat, Alfie who is totally not her favourite! as well as a three-legged cat Joey and Robyn the Border Collie so there is never a dull moment at home. Amy also loves a good road trip, with Lossiemouth being one of her top favourites at the moment but is always happy to just head off somewhere new.

Rona joined Aurora in June 2020 and has been part of the reception team ever since. She is the one with all the dog treats at reception to make sure your four legged friends leave with waggy tails. Rona is a proud dog mum to Harvey, her much loved 13yr old Westie. Despite his age, Harvey thinks he is still a pup and loves playing with a squeaky toy, espacially his Kong Duck! When shes not working, you will most likely find Rona catching up with friends, enjoying a good horror film, heading off to the theatre for a great show or relaxing on her yearly cruise.

Jaclyn has been part of the Aurora Vets team for 14 years, working as a receptionist and helping to make sure clients and their pets feel welcome and well looked after from the moment they walk through the door. Jaclyn has a particular interest in getting to know clients and their pets and being there to offer a friendly, familiar face when they need us. After 14 years, Jaclyn really values the relationships she’s built with both clients and the Aurora Team. Outside of work, Jaclyn is a busy mum of two, so spare time can be hard to come by! When she does get the chance, Jaclyn enjoys shopping, baking and most importantly, spending time with family and friends. She’s also a very proud new cat mum to Binky, who is full of personality and extremely mischievous!

Nikki joined Aurora in 2024 and has always had a love for animals, having studied Zoology at university. Away from the clinic, Nikki is usually off on an adventure – travelling abroad, hiking, exploring the outdoors and spending time with friends and family. Her spare time is rarely short of plans! At home, she has a 15-year-old yorkie and a 2-year-old kitty, who have both made it clear that they are the ones in charge.
