Meet Our Team

Claire is the Practice Manager and has been working in management for 13 years, she has been with Aurora since 2023. She loves the variety that comes with her role and enjoys keeping the practice running smoothly. Outside of work, Claire enjoys spending time with her dog, Waffle, working on her allotment and cooking up something delicious in the kitchen. She loves growing her own produce and trying out new recipes – preferably with a little help from Waffle.

Kevin graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2007 and has worked at Aurora Vet Clinic as a veterinary surgeon since 2009. He has always had an interest in surgery, completing a post graduate certificate in surgery in 2016, but in recent years has enjoyed spending more of his time in a consulting room, dealing with all the patients that he has got to know over the years. When not at work Kevin is usually spending time with his young family and his Border Terrier Lucy.

Our newest addition Sarah graduated from Edinburgh University in 2011. After a year in mixed practice, Sarah decided to concentrate on small animal practice.

Sarah has spent most of her life in Banchory. She now has her own house there with her new husband, her tabby cats Cedric and Merlin and her black Labrador pup Kingsley. In Sarah’s spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking/cooking and countryside walks. She is also mad on Harry Potter and enjoys the odd shopping spree…!

Sinead completed her training placement with us in 2015 and then returned in 2017 as a fully qualified RVN. Her favourite thing about her job as a nurse is how rewarding it is to look after our poorly patients and see them fully recover and go home wagging their tails & whiskers! When she’s not at work she is kept very busy at home with her three little girls, three crazy cocker spaniels, Luna, Plum & Fig and her outnumbered cat, Boris. In her (not so often) spare time Sinead enjoys road trips with her family, a yummy coffee & cake, a good mooch around a shop for things she definitely doesn’t need and she is also poorly attempting a running career whenever she gets a spare 5 minutes!

Karen studied at North Highland College in Thurso and qualified in August 2009. She then joined Aurora in October that year. Karen has a special interest in dentistry and completed her BVNA oral care certificate in May 2018.

Karen is kept busy with her two young boys at home along with her crazy working cocker spaniel Yogi. To make life easier, Karen is expecting her third child this September. With any spare time she enjoys going out with friends and loves a good concert/gig!

Rona works on Reception and started at Aurora in June 2020.  She has a 13yr old Westie called Harvey who is quite a character.  She enjoys socialising with friends, and is partial to a good horror movie.

Jaclyn joined Aurora in 2012 as our Saturday receptionist and now works full time alongside Marcia. As well as her reception duties, Jaclyn looks after all our social media – so she is the one you need to sweet talk to make your pet ‘famous’.

Jaclyn has a 19 year old cat called Cassandra who sleeps all day and keeps Jaclyn up all night. In her spare time Jaclyn enjoys baking cakes, shopping and socialising with friends and family. She is also THE biggest fan of Christmas!
