Andrew Stalker BVM&S MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
After qualifying in Edinburgh in 1990.  Andrew spent six months neutering dogs in Mauritius. He then spent twelve years in mixed practice in his home town of Inverurie.
When not working Andrew has travelled widely in Africa and Asia, bird watching. Andrew enjoys playing hockey and cricket for his local teams.

Emma Davidson BVM&S MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon

 

Emma is from Northern Ireland originally but has worked in Aberdeenshire since qualifying in 1996. In addition to her specific interest in small animal medicine and surgery she also practices acupuncture and is a member of the Association of British Veterinary Acupuncturists.

 

Emma enjoys travelling but on a smaller scale, the west coast of Scotland being her favourite. Other passions include walking with her dog, Jake and horse riding, in fact anything that gets her outside!
 

 

Jenny Boyd RVN
Veterinary Nurse

Jenny started veterinary nursing in 1996, gaining her  RCVS RVN qualification in 1999. She then went on to gain her D32/D33 assessor award and spent many years training student VNs. Jenny has just completed a two year Certificate in Pharmacy Management.

 

Jenny has a cat called Tara and a connemara pony. Jenny enjoys competing in dressage and triathlons (swim/bike/run). She also likes hill running, mountain biking and designing web sites.

 

Karen Dobbie

Receptionist

 

Karen joined Aurora Vets in November 2008 as a Saturday receptionist.

Marcia Niven
Receptionist

After working in the oil industry for the past twenty years Marcia has finally realised her dream of working with animals. Marcia will be your first point of contact, both on the phone and when you and your pet visit the surgery. You can be assured that she will do everything she can to help you.

Marcia has four cats, Kizzy, Dylan, Tate and Milo and is actively involved with the Cats Protection. When not fundraising for the Cats Protection she  enjoys walking and socialising.
 

 


 

 

Rachel Penny RVN
Veterinary Nurse

Rachel is a zoology graduate of Aberdeen University and joined Aurora in March 2008. After starting her veterinary nursing training at Glasgow University Small Animal Hospital she became a qualified, registered vet nurse in 2006.

She is particularly keen on rehabilitation, physiotherapy and reptiles. Rachel is currently training to become a veterinary physiotherapist.

Rachel has two rescue greyhounds, Meg and Texas and an extremely vocal bengal cat called Indi.

 

Hills j/d  is a complete diet which has been specially formulated with high levels of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, EPA (a special type of omega-3 which reduces the enzymes which breakdown cartilage cells) and controlled calorie content with added L-Rachel is a zoology graduate of Aberdeen University and joined Aurora in March 2008.
