Karen Dobbie
Receptionist
Karen joined Aurora Vets in November 2008 as a Saturday receptionist and through the week Karen works full time for a shipping company.
When Karen finds time she loves to go horse riding. Karen has three family cats, three adult fat tailed geckos and two young leopard geckos.
Veterinary Surgeon
After qualifying in Edinburgh in 1990. Andrew spent six months neutering dogs in Mauritius. He then spent twelve years in mixed practice in his home town of Inverurie.
When not working Andrew has travelled widely in Africa and Asia, bird watching. Andrew enjoys playing hockey and cricket for his local teams.
Veterinary Surgeon
Emma is from Northern Ireland originally but has worked in Aberdeenshire since qualifying in 1996. In addition to her specific interest in small animal medicine and surgery she also practices acupuncture and is a member of the Association of British Veterinary Acupuncturists.
Emma is currently on maternity leave but hope to rejoin us in 2010.
Veterinary Nurse
Jenny started veterinary nursing in 1996, gaining her RCVS RVN qualification in 1999. She then went on to attain her D32/D33 assessor award and spent many years training student VNs. In 2008, Jenny completed a two year BVNA Certificate in Pharmacy Management.
Jenny has a cat called Tara and a connemara pony. Jenny enjoys hill running, mountain biking, road cycling and designing web sites.
Marcia Niven
Receptionist
After working in the oil industry for the past twenty years Marcia has finally realised her dream of working with animals. Marcia will be your first point of contact, both on the phone and when you and your pet visit the surgery. You can be assured that she will do everything she can to help you.
Marcia has four cats, Kizzy, Dylan, Tate and Milo and is actively involved with the Cats Protection. When not fundraising for the Cats Protection she enjoys walking and socialising.
Veterinary Nurse
Karen joined Aurora vets in October 2009 after studying at North Highland College and qualifying in August 2009. Karen has a special interest in dentistry and nursing small furries.
Karen owns a crazy working cocker spaniel called Yogi who she does fun agility with in her spare time.
Kerry Littlejohn BVMS MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Kerry qualified from Glasgow vet school in 1999. She spent one year in mixed practice before deciding to concentrate on small animal medicine. Kerry particularly enjoys ophthalmology and internal medicine and has joined Aurora after a career break to start a family.
When not looking after children, Kerry enjoys hill walking, cycling and pilates.


Student Veterinary Nurse
Claire joined Aurora Vets in August 2009. Claire is studying Veterinary Nursing on block release through North Highland College.
Claire has a cat called Tutu and a lovely Fell pony called Danny. Claire enjoys hacking out with Danny when she finds the time. Claire loves dogs and can’t wait until she finally gets one of her own.
